Renowned actor Leonardo DiCaprio has voluntarily surrendered several works of art worth millions of dollars and an Oscar statuette that once belonged to Marlon Brando to the U.S. Government, as part of its ongoing investigation into a money laundering operation connected to Malaysian prime minister Najib Razak.



The works of art were reportedly gifts from Malaysian financiers connected to Riza Aziz, co-founder of Red Granite Pictures, the outfit that produced the DiCaprio-starring “The Wolf of Wall Street.”

The Justice Department has been carrying out an investigating to determine whether Aziz assisted his father-in-law, Prime Minister Razak, in embezzling more than $4 billion, some of which was used to finance Red Granite, and several of the company’s films.

The surrendered items include: a Picasso painting, “Nature Morte au Crane de Taureau,” valued at more than $3 million; a Basquiat collage, “Redman One,” valued at at least $9 million; a Diane Arbus photograph valued at $750,000; and the Oscar Brando won for his performance in “On the Waterfront.” The paintings and photograph were included in a 250-page forfeiture complaint filed last week by the Justice Department. However, representatives for DiCaprio say that the paintings were surrendered to the government before the complaint was filed. The Marlon Brando Oscar, a set gift from Red Granite, was not mentioned in the Justice Department complaint, but was turned over voluntarily along with the other items.

The 42-year-old actor’s reps also said that the works of art were intended for an upcoming charity auction and never for DiCaprio’s personal collection.

Representatives for DiCaprio said in a statement:

“Last July, upon hearing of the government’s civil action against certain parties involved in the making of The Wolf of Wall Street, Mr. DiCaprio’s representatives – working under his instruction – initiated contact with the Department of Justice. This effort was to determine if there were any gifts or charitable donations originating from the parties named in the civil complaint, and to offer the return of any such gifts or donations with the aid and instruction of the government.”

The statement continued: “Prior to the government’s filing of the civil pleading today, Mr. DiCaprio initiated return of these items, which were received and accepted by him for the purpose of being included in an annual charity auction to benefit his eponymous foundation. He has also returned an Oscar originally won by Marlon Brando, which was given to Mr. DiCaprio as a set gift by Red Granite to thank him for his work on The Wolf of Wall Street. Mr. DiCaprio is grateful for the support of the government in this effort, and continues to hope that justice is done in this matter.”

Ace comedian, Alibaba took to his Instagram page to tell those who frown at people who post lounging pictures during week days that not all hustlers do a 9-5 job.



He wrote:

“Last time I posted my feet on my table, one guy commented that it was a bad habit and “very unexemplifying”. I still didnt get it. He said Monday when people are just resuming work, I’m posting picture of my feet on my table and lounging. As I post this again, I need to mention, we are not all 9 to 5 hustlers. Some of us actually are nocturnal by occupation. Some people only need 2 days in a week to make what you work for in a month. But that is not what this post is about.

What I am trying to tell you is that, it also burns my soul to see that you guys can take a Saturday and a Sunday to go to the beach or resorts… Or any place of recreation. And while you are there, I am either behind a microphone, acting, writing and being creative anywhere my services are needed. Then you post your pictures of #aboutlastnight #weekendonflick… I no call police. But as soon as anyone shows that they were having fun while you were working, it irks you. Isn’t that selfish?

There are different occupational timings for all walks of life. Night soil men can lounge in the day. Maigaurds can afford to sleep in the afternoon because when darkness falls, DUTY calls. An artiste comes alive at weekends. That’s why it is usually insensitive when old school associations and kparakpor groups fix meetings at weekends and expect everyone to attend because they believe work ends at COB on Friday and resumes on Monday.

Thus making them believe anyone who did not attend the meetings is refusing to be seen with them. How would they feel if I fix an association meeting at 10am on a Monday or Wednesday Morning? This issue of occupational selfishness has become a major issue in relationships too. Ladies be dating a 9 To 5 guy and break it up. Then starts dating an artiste. She will say “we don’t spend time together”. You must be joking. You should actually pray you don’t see him at weekends!! How would you feel if he says he doesn’t see much of you Mondays to Fridays? To go to movies and clubs. To each it’s kind. The bible says don’t be unevenly yolked. Understanding lo matter. Know what the person you want does before saying yes. Don’t come and be doing autocorrect in people’s career.”

Father’s Day is a day set aside yearly to appreciate fathers just like Mother’s Day.



Father’s Day is a celebration honoring fathers and celebrating fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society. In Catholic Europe, it has been celebrated on March 19 (St. Joseph’s Day) since the Middle Ages.

German club, Fortuna, who finished two points clear of the relegation zone in 3. Liga have offered Cristiano Ronaldo free beer for life if he’ll agree to join the club.



The club does not have the financial resources of Europe’s heavyweight clubs in the competition for the Superstar.

The club posted on Twitter:

“Hey @Cristiano, we’re still looking for a striker – we don’t have money, but we can offer you free Kolsch for life.”

Ronaldo is rumoured to be seeking a shock move away from Real Madrid due to his unhappiness over scrutiny of his tax situation in Spain.

“All Eyez on Me” is a 2017 American biographical drama film about hip-hop artist Tupac Shakur, directed by Benny Boom and written by Jeremy Haft, Eddie Gonzalez and Steven Bagatourian. Titled after Shakur’s 1996 fourth studio album of the same name, the film stars Demetrius Shipp Jr. as Shakur and Kat Graham, Lauren Cohan, Hill Harper, and Danai Gurira in supporting roles.



Principal photography began in mid-December 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia. The film premiered on June 14, 2017 in Los Angeles and was released in the United States on June 16, 2017, on what would have been Shakur’s 46th birthday.

The film chronicles the life and legacy of Tupac Shakur, including his rise to superstardom, as well as his imprisonment and prolific, controversial time at Death Row Records.

Nigerian singer, Harrysong born Harrison Tare Okiri has come a long way in his career and it is okay to say that he is already reaping some of the fruits of his labour in the music industry.



The Five Star Music artiste in a chat with Rubbin’ Minds, said he neither have a girlfriend currently nor married to any woman.

He said:

‘I am not in any relationship now. My female fans know I am truthful when it comes to this.

‘If there is someone in my life right now, she would be trending from the first day she said I do. I am not married and I don’t have any woman right now,’ Harrysong added.

‘Marriage is not just what you want to get into because it is time or that you are getting old or because people are looking at you to must have settled down.

More than 60,000 people have joined in the Instagram praise and worship in an hour long midnight gathering, which is the brainchild of Nigerian gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey.



Foremost Nigerian gospel artist Nathaniel Bassey in a recent interview with Channels TV revealed how the Halleluyah Challenge started.

This movement has grown viral with people from all over the world logging onto his Instagram and Facebook Live broadcast at midnight to experience the unprecedented worship movement.

The singer and youth pastor revealed that the calling came when he was in Israel and the Lord ministered to him. He also revealed that he has no plans of going further with the program as he has other calling he has to attend to.
